Description: Known as the purifier Belat is the first son for Osmat and Lenndra. Not a god for the tactician, he is a true warriors god, its really about the blood guts and glory of it all. His rituals are festivals of drinking and boasting of ones accomplishments, good friends, loving family and good times. It is also common to make oaths of every kind before his sacred flames which are said to purify everything. Every temple and shrine has a holy oak fire that is tended 24/7 and never allowed to go out. Warriors, Fighter, Barbarians and Rangers alike take up his faith. His priests stress the necessity of battle and combat only as a way to protect the home and hearth, which is of the upmost importance. In a quaint tradition wives of the warriors of Belat often keep a lock of their husbands hair on a private house shrines along with a burning candle, asking Belat to bring their loves home safely. Newly weds jump hand-in-hand over Belats fire symbolically purifying themselves before entering their lives together. A popular choice for town guardsmen and other home bound military and their family.
